FBA Freedmen

FBA is an acronym for Foundational Black American.

FBA is lineage-based, referring to the descendants of Blacks who were enslaved in the United States of America.

FBA is solely a cultural and ancestral identity, that constitutes the unique, powerful, trend-setting history and contributions of the Foundational Black American lineage, to not only America, but the world!

Our intent with FBAFreedmen.com, is to honor, preserve and grow the legacy our FBA Freedmen ancestors established.

Freedmen refers to emancipated slaves, particularly after the abolition of slavery in the United States following the Civil War. The term also applies to their kin.

Freedmen are not a race, but the legal class of those whose ancestors were emancipated from chattel slavery under U.S jurisdiction. Our Freedmen legal status, has been intentionally hidden from us.
